Our students are quickly motivated when they discover how fast they can learn music. In the first lesson, beginners will be taught the basics of the instrument and up to 7 songs! Our instructors will help students discover their potential by teaching in a very understandable way. We encourage a life-long love of music! Learning can be fun. Our goal is to provide multiple options so each student can select the best-suited program.

Piano Program Options

ACCELERATED PIANO PROGRAM (45 or 60 Minutes)

  • Best for Beginners through Intermediate Students (Ages 7 to 13)

  • Longer Class Time for Less Cost—As students progress, it gets difficult for teachers to cover everything in 30 minutes. This longer class allows students to get through their music AND develop extra skills.

  • Less Pressure—Students can leave each class with a good handle on their music assignment for the week. This translates into self-motivated students who are eager to practice since polishing a piece no longer feels like homework.

  • Practice Training—Most students never learn the proper practice technique because teachers don’t have the time to teach it. In this program, teachers observe their students practicing and give immediate feedback to help prevent bad habits from developing in the first place.

  • Rapid Progress—This program can dramatically improve the number-one skill needed to learn music quickly: SIGHT READING.

  • Increased Motivated to Succeed—Watching others work on music is a natural incentive. Students see their group mates succeeding at the piano; therefore, their own expectations rise as they see what can be accomplished.

Private Lesson Options

  • Prep Lessons (30-minutes): Prep lessons are best suited for young students. The shorter time means that the lesson is fast-paced to help students stay engaged the entire time.

  • Standard Lessons (45-minutes): Standard lessons are best suited for older beginners, transfer students, and adults. The longer lesson length provides adequate time for students to receive a thorough understanding of reading, technique, musicianship, and theory.

  • Advanced Lessons (60-minutes): Advanced lessons are best suited for experienced students with a diligent practice routine. Since the fundamentals are already understood, these lessons will focus on refining technique and musicianship to prepare students for advanced repertoire.

Whatever you choose, Oxford Music Academy is the best place for you!

Performance Opportunities in Recitals & Music Festivals

Music is a social activity, so we present our students with opportunities to interact with other students. Each year we participate in recitals which offer low-pressure opportunities to perform in front of an audience with other like-minded music students.  We also offer opportunities to participate in music festivals where students receive feedback from judges while having the ability to earn certificates, pins, and trophies.

Oxford Music Academy and its teachers are affiliated with several professional organizations including:
